Dear Friend, We only have 12 hours left to finish raising our R1,2m goal for the 2023 financial year - can you help us make it?
Will we make it until the end....? The week-long online fundraising campaign that we launched on Erev Simchat Torah called "The Blessing of Blouberg" was subdued/aborted from its planned post Simchat Torah public launch because 1. In the aftermath of the Simchat Torah massacre none of us had the energy to focus on anything other than our beloved Eretz Yisrael and how we can help, and therefore 2. Any public fundraising we did do was earmarked for special projects in support of the Israel that we are doing with our partners there, and which are still ongoing. Some of these projects, in partnership with Chabad of Israel, Pantry Packers, Tzeirei Hashluchim, the Herzliya Municipality, and others, included:
And together with that, we still need to maintain and support locally our vibrant community activities which Baruch Hashem our growing from day to day as well - and PG are playing our small role in creating light from here in Cape Town, that lifts and protects our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisrael. It's thank G-d been an incredible year...From our recent Chanukah events, Guest Speakers, Siyum HoRambam, a rocking High Holiday season in our new Sukkah Outdoor Social Hall, Lag Baomer celebrations, the Adult Education learning and meditation programmes for Men and Women, the first Annual Blouberg Kosher Wine and Cheese Festival, as far as events and services go... But it's the unquantifiable daily soulful moments that really makes Chabad of the West Coast who we are... Whether visting a friend who wasn't feeling well, a Mezuza on a new home, Tefilin at the side of road, fresh Challah for the visiting former Deputy Prime Minister of Israel, personal family celebrations, or the countless other moments where we are able to help prepare ourselves, each other, and the world at large, for a world perfected and redeemed through the coming of Moshiach. You make it possible! So... will we make it to the end of our campaign goal...? Thank God our matchers are still committed, so every time we reach a target of another R90,000 in the campaign, they will add in R90,000 as well.
