2:54Whose Torah Is It?

Is hashem proud of me even though I don't do mitzvos? Maybe hashem is not like my parents that were proud of me because they made me & I was cute. Maybe his sole desire is for me to do mitzvos and my only purpose in living & not doing mitzvos, is in order that one day I return to the path of torah and mitzvos. Meaning במי נמלך, בנשמותיהן של צדיקים...
(Hashem took counsel in the pleasure he has of the divine service of the righteous.) (?)
Aha. Maybe every jew is a tzadik...
אפילו פושעי ישראל מלאים מצות כרימון.
And even if they weren’t, He would
love them just the same.
The Torah was given for the sake of the neshamah, not the other way around.
(continuation) well, this goes back to the question of what came first, the Yidden or the Torah.
& you answered quite beautifully, that the Yidden came first.
So I would conjure that if hashem loved the Yidden first, then if there wouldn't be Torah & mitzvos, hashem would have procured another version of it (like chopping wood.). Is this correct?
(because if you would say the opposite, that hashem loves the Jews by giving them the Torah & mitzvos, you'd be saying that the Torah came first...) (obviously this is figuratively, because a human can't ask on hashem questions on why hashem created the world this way & not another way, Due to his finite perceptions of (only) things limited by borders)
מלכותא דארעא כעין מלכותא דרקיעא
The fact that your parents will love you irregardless of your behavior is only a reflection of how Hashem loves every Jew.
But להעיר, a parent loves their child no matter how they behave. However a parent may very well not be *proud* in their child's behavior. Don't be satisfied with the deep love your parents have, let them have what to be proud of.
Thank you. This knowledge is comforting. But does hashem's choice in us:
that we are chosen to have the Torah & mitzvos, & thus be loved,
Or, that we will be loved & thus have the Torah & mitzvos?
Meaning, is the love because of potentially doing Torah & mitzvos, or is it standalone?
