Yes, we've changed venues from Chabad of the West Coast to a slightly larger space - Canal Walk! On Wednesday 12 December from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, in the "Snow World" box you'll be hearing Chanukah Music, watching the Menorah, and enjoy a delicious Latke and Doughnut on your way out. Lots of delicous Kosher Food will be on sale around the venue.

The R50 Ticket (which is a 50 percent discount on the full value R100 ticket that includes the Ice Wall) is available on a cash or proof of eft basis only, and your time slot is only guaranteed once you've picked up your tickets from the Shul and School office.

2. A Chanukah Friday Night Live - Cinnamon Latkes and Carvo Vodkas! The Seventh night of Chanukah, Friday December 14 we're looking forward to celebrating with you. Light our Two Meter Menorah! Exciting Teen Service! - Kid's Service with Raffle Prizes! Inspirational Shabbat Prayers and Songs, and a Latkes and Vodkas Brocho! 3. The Jewish Women's Circle - a Chanukah Morning of Health and Healing - Dedicated to Maxine Wolff and Lisa Wittels. Three exciting hours of Raw Food Preperation with Smoothies, Soups and Salads as part of a healthy lifestyle transformation. Spirit Soul Talk by Zeesy will round off the morning - see here for more details and reservations.
4. Chanukah for the Whole Family! On Tuesday afternoon Chabad of Cape Town with Marais Road Shul are hosting the Chanukah Extravaganza at Weizman 5:30 - 8:00 pm - lots of exciting stuff there happening including Bunjee Jumping, Water Balls, Rides for the Kiddies, and of course lots of delicious food!
The event is followed by the 100 Menorah Cars Parade through Cape Town! Email [email protected] if you'd like to join the parade. This is a very exciting display of Jewish pride and publicizing the miracle of Chanukah that your children will definitely remember for a very long time to come

6. And Finally - Chanukah for you budding inner artists... Art Jamming with the Garden's Shul on Thursday 13 December 5:30 - 7:00 pm will be held at Art Jamming with Chanukah Stencils, Arts, Paints etc. and of course a Grand Menorah Lighting in the Cape Quarter. Booking Essential at 021 465 1405.

Sorry about the big fonts and stuff, but I'm always worried that with all the parties and celebrations of Chanukah we overlook the most important thing... Imagine skipping the Chuppah and going straight to the Sushi and Wedding dancing? Wouldn't be much of a celebration, huh. Well, let's make sure we feel the same about Chanukah.
